Google Business Profile management

Your Google Business Profile is often the first thing a local customer sees. We make it accurate, complete and active.

We choose the best primary and secondary categories, list your services, set hours, add real photos and keep your business name exactly as it appears in the real world. Adding keywords to your business name breaks Google's guidelines and can get a profile suspended, so we never do it. If you serve customers at their location, we set you up as a service-area business with a hidden address where appropriate.

We have run weekly Google Business Profile post programs for a Houston-area home-services company and a 30-day post program after a full profile audit for a D2C brand.

Reviews that build trust the right way

Reviews influence both rankings and whether people call. We help you ask every customer, consistently, and respond to every review.

We set up simple review requests by text or email after a completed job or delivered order. We do not use review gating, which means filtering out unhappy customers before asking. It breaks Google's rules and hides problems you need to hear about. We also help you write calm, helpful responses to negative reviews.

Local pages without doorway pages

City and service-area pages can help, as long as each one is genuinely useful. Pages that only swap the city name are treated as doorway pages and can hurt you.

For one Houston-area home-services company, we built around 47 city service landing pages, each with its own details about service coverage, local considerations and relevant work. We write fewer, better pages when that serves you better. Our SEO and technical SEO service covers the site-wide work these pages depend on.

Tracking local visibility

Your map ranking changes block by block. A single ranking check from one spot does not tell the whole story.

We use geo-grid tracking to measure where you appear across your service area, starting with a baseline before we make changes. We pair this with calls, direction requests and website clicks from your profile. If you also run Local Services Ads, we report both together. Businesses with several locations should see our multi-location marketing page.

FAQ

Questions people ask

How do I rank higher in Google Maps?

Google has said local results are based mainly on relevance, distance and prominence. You can improve relevance with accurate categories and services, and prominence with reviews, links and a strong website. Distance you cannot change. We focus on the factors you control and track progress across your service area with geo-grid reports.

Should I post on my Google Business Profile?

Yes, if you keep it up. Regular posts show customers your business is active and give you space to share offers, recent projects and seasonal advice. Google has not said posts are a strong ranking factor, so we treat them mainly as a way to convert people who already found you. A steady weekly rhythm works well for most businesses.

Can I list my business in cities where I have no office?

You can only have a Google Business Profile at a real location where you serve customers or are based. Service-area businesses can list the areas they serve without showing an address. Creating fake addresses or virtual offices to appear in other cities breaks Google's guidelines and often leads to suspension. Useful service-area pages on your website are the safer route.

How long does local SEO take?

Profile fixes, such as better categories or corrected information, can have an effect within weeks. Building reviews, local content and authority takes longer, often several months. Results depend on your competition and starting point, so nobody can promise a set ranking. We show you a baseline first and report progress monthly.

Is it okay to ask customers for reviews?

Yes. Google allows and encourages businesses to ask customers for reviews. What it does not allow is paying for reviews, offering rewards in exchange for them, or asking only happy customers. We help you build a simple, consistent request after every completed job, so your review count grows honestly over time.
