Policy-safe advertising and special ad categories
Meta requires certain ads to run under a special ad category, and getting this wrong can lead to rejected ads or account restrictions. We classify your campaigns correctly from the start.
In the US, special ad categories include credit (which Meta has expanded to a broader financial products and services category), employment, housing, and social issues, elections or politics. Ads for loans, credit cards, financing offers, job openings, home sales and rentals generally fall into these groups.
These categories limit targeting to help prevent discrimination. You cannot target by age, gender or ZIP code, location targeting needs at least a 15-mile radius around a specific place, and many detailed targeting and lookalike options are restricted or unavailable. We plan creative and messaging that work within these limits, since the ad itself has to do more of the work of finding the right people.
We have reviewed lending-related marketing for a home-improvement lending website and know how to keep offers clear and compliant.
Tracking that survives browser and privacy changes
Browser restrictions and ad blockers mean the Meta Pixel alone misses conversions. We pair it with the Conversions API so Meta receives events from your server too.
We set up deduplication so each event is counted once, pass consented customer data in the format Meta expects, and test every event before scaling spend. For ecommerce, we have sent purchase events server side through the Conversions API alongside GA4. Read how server-side tracking works for a plain-English overview.
Lead ads that turn into conversations
Meta lead ads are fast for customers to fill in, which also makes them easy to fill in carelessly. We design forms and follow-up that filter for real interest.
That can mean adding a qualifying question, using the higher-intent form type, and sending leads instantly to your CRM so someone calls back within minutes. We have audited Meta lead-ad programs for a home-services company and reworked how leads were captured and followed up. Our CRM development team handles the routing.
How we test and report
Creative usually drives Meta results more than targeting does. We test new concepts on a schedule and keep what works.
Each month you see spend, leads or purchases, cost per result and what the CRM says about lead quality. For ecommerce brands we look past platform ROAS to contribution profit, because a sale that loses money after shipping and discounts is not a win. See why ROAS is not profit.
